Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Field measurements of rainfall and soil moisture data used to support understanding of infiltration and runoff following the 2007 Canyon Fire, Malibu, CA, USA Field measurements of rainfall and soil moisture data used to support understanding of infiltration and runoff following the 2007 Canyon Fire, Malibu, CA, USA
This data release includes information used to support interpretations of relations between precipitation and soil moisture for a U.S. Geological Survey post-fire monitoring array installed near Malibu, CA following the 2007 Canyon fire. The 3 datasets are: 1) a time series of precipitation from three tipping bucket rain gages in individual files (Schmidt_2020_CANVQRG1.csv, Schmidt_2020...
U-Pb Isotopic Data and Ages of Zircon and Titanite from Rocks from the Yukon-Tanana Upland, Alaska U-Pb Isotopic Data and Ages of Zircon and Titanite from Rocks from the Yukon-Tanana Upland, Alaska
This data set contains 3 tables containing uranium-lead (U-Pb) isotopic data and crystallization ages of zircon and titanite from igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks collected from the Yukon-Tanana upland of eastern interior Alaska between 2013 and 2019. Bulk samples of igneous and metamorphic rocks were processed into concentrated mineral separates of zircon and (or) titanite in...
Stillwater Complex, Montana - Logs of core drilled by AMAX, 1969 to 1977 Stillwater Complex, Montana - Logs of core drilled by AMAX, 1969 to 1977
This dataset includes pdf representations of drill core logs showing associated drill core information, a pdf of the explanation for the lithology and structure sections of the logs, a shapefile of the locations of the drill holes, and sixteen individual .csv files of tabular data that was compiled from hand written drill core logs. The drill core is from the Stillwater Complex, Montana...
Water Level, Temperature, and Bathymetry of the Grand Calumet River, Indiana-Illinois, 2017 Water Level, Temperature, and Bathymetry of the Grand Calumet River, Indiana-Illinois, 2017
The Grand Calumet River is located east of Chicago, Illinois and flows east to west across the Indiana-Illinois border to its confluence with the Little Calumet River. In 2017, a suite of water level, temperature, and bathymetric data were collected along the Grand Calumet River. Water level and water temperature were monitored continuously at five locations in the Grand Calumet River...
Geochemical data used in the tungsten skarn mineral resource assessment of the Great Basin region of western Nevada and eastern California Geochemical data used in the tungsten skarn mineral resource assessment of the Great Basin region of western Nevada and eastern California
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has undertaken a mineral resources assessment for tungsten for a portion of the Great Basin in parts of western Nevada and east-central California. This data release provides the Great Basin Tungsten Database: the geospatial and geologic data, and results of chemical analyses for 46,955 samples collected in the assessment area, extracted from the USGS...
o FTLOADDS (combined SWIFT2D surface-water model and SEAWAT groundwater model) simulator used to Repurpose a Hindcast Simulation of the 1926 Great Miami Hurricane using the South Florida Peninsula for the Biscayne and Southern Everglades Coastal Transport o FTLOADDS (combined SWIFT2D surface-water model and SEAWAT groundwater model) simulator used to Repurpose a Hindcast Simulation of the 1926 Great Miami Hurricane using the South Florida Peninsula for the Biscayne and Southern Everglades Coastal Transport
The previously developed Biscayne and Southern Everglades Coastal Transport (BISECT) model, which combines a three-dimensional groundwater model with a two-dimensional hydrodynamic surface-water model with variable-density solute-transport (https://doi.org/10.3133/sir20195045), was used to evaluate the hydrologic response to historical and hypothesized modern hurricane strikes...
