The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

High-Resolution Aeromagnetic Survey of the Centralia Area, Southwest Washington High-Resolution Aeromagnetic Survey of the Centralia Area, Southwest Washington

The data in this release originate from a low-altitude, aeromagnetic survey of the Centralia and Chehalis area of southwestern Washington. The survey was conducted between September 22 and October 22, 2015, by Eon Geosciences, Inc, working under contract to the U.S. Geological Survey. The covered region extends from the Cascade Range in the east to Willapa Bay in the west, and includes...

High-Resolution Aeromagnetic Survey of the Skykomish Area, Washington High-Resolution Aeromagnetic Survey of the Skykomish Area, Washington

This data release provides access to a low-altitude, aeromagnetic survey of a part of north-central Washington. The survey is centered approximately 120 km northwest of Yakima and includes the small town of Skykomish. The Skykomish aeromagnetic survey covers a part of the central Cascade Range of Washington, the western portion of the Jurassic ophiolitic Ingalls tectonic complex, and the

squid5-software squid5-software

This software was developed for and used by the structure-from-motion (SfM) quantitative underwater imaging device with five cameras (SQUID-5) project. The SQUID-5's camera exposure and sensor gain settings are set identically using a program written with the Spinnaker SDK and examples. Another Spinnaker SDK based program was created to collect, format and save image data to long-term...

Bee-Gap describes the ecology, life-history, and distribution of 3,925 bee species in the United States that have geographical data and verified taxonomy. The database was constructed by compiling information from a broad range of internet sources and peer-reviewed journal articles. The 10 traits included in the database are: native status (native versus exotic/introduced), state and...

Data report for line 8 of the 2011 USGS seismic imaging survey at San Andreas Lake, San Mateo County, California Data report for line 8 of the 2011 USGS seismic imaging survey at San Andreas Lake, San Mateo County, California

In June of 2011, the U.S. Geological Survey acquired high-resolution P- and S-wave seismic data across the mapped (Schussler, 1906) trace of the San Andreas Fault zone at San Andreas Lake in unincorporated San Mateo County, California. Our seismic survey consisted of seismic reflection, refraction, and guided-wave data along a 60-m-long profile. To acquire the reflection and refraction...
