Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Bathymetric and Tidal Discharge data for Wilderness Breach, Fire Island National Seashore, Long Island, NY, May 14, 2015 Bathymetric and Tidal Discharge data for Wilderness Breach, Fire Island National Seashore, Long Island, NY, May 14, 2015
In 2012, Hurricane Sandy created an open breach in the barrier island system along the south shore of Long Island, N.Y. This breach formed at a location known as Old Inlet and migrated rapidly westward over the winter storm season following Hurricane Sandy. In response, the National Park Service sought assistance from the USGS New York Water Science Center to help evaluate the...
Data Release for the 2010 Haiti Seismic Hazard Model Data Release for the 2010 Haiti Seismic Hazard Model
Gridded seismic hazard curve data, gridded ground motion data, and mapped gridded ground motion values are available for the 2010 Haiti Seismic Hazard Model. Probabilistic seismic hazard data and maps are available for peak ground acceleration (PGA) and 0.2, and 1.0 second spectral acceleration at probability levels of 2 percent in 50 years and 10 percent in 50 years, assuming firm rock...
Video data for trout abundance estimation Video data for trout abundance estimation
Rapid advances in video technology are enabling new strategies for species abundance estimation. Here we provide estimates of fish abundance derived from video data collected in a series of stream pools in Shenandoah National Park, Virginia (n=41). Two 360-degree cameras were simultaneously used at each pool site where 15-minutes of underwater footage was collected. Environmental data...
Bathymetric and Velocimetric Data from Surveys at Highway Bridges crossing the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers on the Periphery of Missouri, June 2009 through August 2018 Bathymetric and Velocimetric Data from Surveys at Highway Bridges crossing the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers on the Periphery of Missouri, June 2009 through August 2018
These data are high-resolution bathymetry (riverbed elevation) and depth-averaged velocities in ASCII format, generated from hydrographic and velocimetric surveys near highway bridge structures over the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers on the periphery of Missouri, for dates ranging from 2008 to 2018. Hydrographic data were collected using a high-resolution multibeam echosounder mapping...
