Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

This metadata record contains one table and one shapefile with results from field sampling at locations of groundwater discharge (seeps) identified by autonomous boat survey at the Lower Darby Creek Area (LDCA) Superfund Site, near Folcroft, Pennsylvania, in 2024. Included in the dataset are (1) PFAS concentrations, volatile organic compound (VOC) concentrations, cations/trace metals...
Sea Turtle Nesting Decision Points and Beach Profile Data on Florida Beaches Sea Turtle Nesting Decision Points and Beach Profile Data on Florida Beaches
This dataset, collected and prepared by the U.S. Geological Survey St. Petersburg Coastal and Marine Science Center (USGS - SPCMSC), includes sea turtle nesting decision point locations and cross-shore beach profiles at those locations. The data were collected by a person walking with a survey backpack equipped with a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver and GPS antenna. The surveys...

In Louisiana, the Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection and Restoration Act (CWPPRA) identifies, prepares, and funds coastal wetland restoration projects. In the Evaluation Report to Congress to be submitted in 2024, geospatially driven visualizations are required to provide conceptual understanding of funded project sizes and locations as they pertain to the geographical region in...
Model inputs and estimated total nitrogen and total phosphorus loads used in the development of Mississippi SPARROW models, 2018 base year Model inputs and estimated total nitrogen and total phosphorus loads used in the development of Mississippi SPARROW models, 2018 base year
Degradation of water quality from nutrient pollution continues to be a challenge for water resource managers. The development of effective management strategies begins with tools that facilitate an understanding of nutrient sources and transport. SPARROW (SPAtially Referenced Regression On Watershed attributes) is a spatially explicit model platform that correlates water-quality...
Horizon Scan for Vertebrates in Trade Horizon Scan for Vertebrates in Trade
This is a dataset summarizing filtering criteria and rapid risk assessments for ~25,000 species undertaken during a data-driven horizon scan of imported fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. The files represented in this dataset are the following: 1) 'species_filtering_metadata_table.xlsx' is the tabular summary of all intake list species names and the reason for inclusion...
Datasets for Colorado River Basin Salinity Interactive Map Datasets for Colorado River Basin Salinity Interactive Map
Since its formation, the Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Forum and its partners have completed a substantial amount of work in an ongoing effort to reduce salinity concentrations and loads in the Colorado River. These efforts and related monitoring have generated a large volume of data and information. This data release includes geospatial datasets that provide information on...
