Data Releases

The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Estimated low-flow statistics at ungaged stream locations in New Jersey, water year 2022 Estimated low-flow statistics at ungaged stream locations in New Jersey, water year 2022

Estimates of various low-flow statistics were computed at 56 ungaged stream locations throughout New Jersey during the 2022 water year using methods in the published reports, 1) Streamflow characteristics and trends in New Jersey, water years 1897-2003 (Watson and others, 2005) and 2) Implementation of MOVE.1, censored MOVE.1, and piecewise MOVE.1 low-flow regressions with applications...

Water column and sediment incubations to measure dissolved organic matter dynamics in the Fox rivermouth (Lake Michigan; 2016-2017) Water column and sediment incubations to measure dissolved organic matter dynamics in the Fox rivermouth (Lake Michigan; 2016-2017)

These data are associated with experiments performed in 2016 and 2017 in the Fox rivermouth (Green Bay, WI; Lake Michigan). Between the De Pere Dam and the Lake Michigan coastline, we performed experiments to measure water column transformation of dissolved organic matter (DOM) and sediment flux of DOM. These experiments consisted of incubations of surface water or intact sediment cores...

Data release of monazite and xenotime geochronology for Proterozoic rocks in central Colorado and monazite and zircon geochronology and whole-rock isotope geochemistry fo a Proterozoic drill core sample from western Colorado Data release of monazite and xenotime geochronology for Proterozoic rocks in central Colorado and monazite and zircon geochronology and whole-rock isotope geochemistry fo a Proterozoic drill core sample from western Colorado

This U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) data release provides monazite and xenotime geochronology from Proterozoic rocks collected from outcrop in central Colorado and whole rock isotope geochemistry, and zircon and monazite geochronology from a Proterozoic rock sampled from a drill core from western Colorado. The drill core sample was collected from the 1 Paradox Valley injection core near...

Greenhouse gas fluxes and dissolved greenhouse gas concentrations from wetland soil microcosms treated with herbicides Greenhouse gas fluxes and dissolved greenhouse gas concentrations from wetland soil microcosms treated with herbicides

This data release presents data from a laboratory microcosm study examining the potential effects of herbicide application on the production and flux of greenhouse gases from wetland soils. Wetland soils were placed into glass mason jars and covered with water. Microcosms were treated with varying concentrations (none, low, medium, high) and combinations of the herbicides glyphosate and...

Depth to frozen soil measurements at APEX, 2008-2023 Depth to frozen soil measurements at APEX, 2008-2023

Depth to frozen soil measurements taken by a variety of collaborators at the Alaskan Peatland EXeriment (APEX) bog/permafrost plateau site. Data is from 2018 - 2023.

Scripts to Analyze Altitude Selection in Migrating Pacific Flyway Geese Scripts to Analyze Altitude Selection in Migrating Pacific Flyway Geese

This code repo contains three scripts used in the associated manuscript to run the analyses (01_model_prob_flight.r; 02_model_altitude_selection.r) and the simulation used to make predictions (03_simulate_prob_fly_per_altitude.r). The analysis serves to evaluate conditions that affect 1) whether geese are in flight vs. resting on the water, 2) what altitude is selected by flying geese...
