Data Releases

The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Water-quality profiles within the Caloosahatchee River and twelve fiberglass tanks, during experimental nutrient addition treatments, 2021 (ver. 1.1, August 2024) Water-quality profiles within the Caloosahatchee River and twelve fiberglass tanks, during experimental nutrient addition treatments, 2021 (ver. 1.1, August 2024)

This U.S. Geological Survey Data Release provides water-quality data collected during 1-week and 2-week nutrient studies beginning on February 22, May 17, and July 26 located in the Caloosahatchee River at the S-79 water-control structure. For each study period, 12 fiberglass tanks were suspended in the river using three floating cradles with each cradle holding four tanks. Each tank was...

Datasets of historical aerial photograph orthomosaics of Lassen Volcanic National Park, California (1941, 1952, 1966, 1973, 1998 and 2004) Datasets of historical aerial photograph orthomosaics of Lassen Volcanic National Park, California (1941, 1952, 1966, 1973, 1998 and 2004)

This data release publishes datasets of historical aerial photograph orthomosaics covering areas within and surrounding Lassen Volcanic National Park, California. The historical imagery provides a high-resolution, spatially contiguous record of the park’s landscape across six dates ranging from 1941-2004. A total of 990 hard-copy aerial photographs taken in 1941, 1952, 1966, 1973, 1998...

Remotely sensed data from a reach of the Sacramento River near Glenn, California, used to perform Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) within the Robot Operating System (ROS) Remotely sensed data from a reach of the Sacramento River near Glenn, California, used to perform Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) within the Robot Operating System (ROS)

This data release provides an example data set to accompany the manuscript titled "A Robot Operating System (ROS) package for mapping flow fields in rivers via Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV)", submitted to the journal Software X. This ROS *.bag file contains remotely sensed data acquired during an Uncrewed Aircraft System (UAS) flight along a reach of the Sacramento River near Glenn...

Hydrodynamic model output and image simulation code for evaluating image-based river velocimetry from a case study on the Sacramento River near Glenn, California Hydrodynamic model output and image simulation code for evaluating image-based river velocimetry from a case study on the Sacramento River near Glenn, California

This data release includes the data and code used for the paper titled "A framework to facilitate development and testing of image-based river velocimetry algorithms", published in the journal Earth Surface Processes and Landforms. Three *.csv files and five *.m files with MATLAB source code are included below. Each *.csv file contains output from a hydrodynamic model of a reach of the...

Stable hydrogen and oxygen isotopic compositions of precipitation samples from selected Colorado and Utah National Atmospheric Deposition Program (NADP) sites Stable hydrogen and oxygen isotopic compositions of precipitation samples from selected Colorado and Utah National Atmospheric Deposition Program (NADP) sites

The stable hydrogen (delta 2H) and oxygen (delta 18O) isotopic compositions of more than 4,300 weekly composite samples of precipitation from thirteen National Atmospheric Deposition Program (NADP) sites (CO02, CO08, CO09, CO10, CO21, CO89, CO91, CO92, CO93, CO96, CO97, CO98, and UT09) in Colorado and Utah were analyzed on archived samples obtained from NADP over various time periods...

Stable hydrogen and oxygen isotopic compositions of precipitation samples from selected Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania National Atmospheric Deposition Program (NADP) sites Stable hydrogen and oxygen isotopic compositions of precipitation samples from selected Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania National Atmospheric Deposition Program (NADP) sites

The stable hydrogen (delta 2H) and oxygen (delta 18O) isotopic compositions of more than 6,400 daily or weekly composite samples of precipitation from nine National Atmospheric Deposition Program (NADP) sites (DE02, MD07, NJ99, NY67, NY68, PA00, PA15, PA72, and PA98) in New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania were analyzed on archived samples obtained from NADP over...
