Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Minisparker and chirp seismic reflection data acquired offshore San Francisco and Pacifica during USGS field activity S-16-10-NC Minisparker and chirp seismic reflection data acquired offshore San Francisco and Pacifica during USGS field activity S-16-10-NC
Chirp sub-bottom and single-channel minisparker seismic reflection data were collected by the U.S. Geological Survey in August 2010, offshore San Mateo County, California. Data were collected aboard the R/V Snavely during field activity S-16-10-NC. This work was funded by the USGS Coastal and Marine Geology Program's Coastal and Marine Catastrophic Hazards project. The high-resolution...
Magnetotelluric sounding data across the Idaho Batholith, Payette National Forest, Idaho, 1989 Magnetotelluric sounding data across the Idaho Batholith, Payette National Forest, Idaho, 1989
This dataset includes the magnetotelluric (MT) sounding data collected in 1989 across the Idaho Batholith, Payette National Forest, Idaho, by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The primary focus is on geologic elements that relate to the Late Cretaceous Idaho batholith geometry and the development of the Yellow Pine mining district and Stibnite mining area. Twenty MT soundings along one...
Time-lapse self-potential, electric resistivity tomography, streamflow, groundwater-level, and weather-station datasets for the lower Rio Grande, southeast New Mexico, May–October, 2022 Time-lapse self-potential, electric resistivity tomography, streamflow, groundwater-level, and weather-station datasets for the lower Rio Grande, southeast New Mexico, May–October, 2022
This data release contains time-lapse self-potential, electric resistivity tomography, hydrographic, and weather data acquired during a geoelectric monitoring survey of the lower Rio Grande riverbed in the Mesilla Basin of southeast, New Mexico. The monitoring survey was performed by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in copperation with New Mexico State University (NMSU), Elephant Butte...
Continuous groundwater-level monitoring to support the development of a conceptual site model development at the Geneva Industries/Fuhrmann Energy Superfund Site, Houston, Texas, 2022–23 Continuous groundwater-level monitoring to support the development of a conceptual site model development at the Geneva Industries/Fuhrmann Energy Superfund Site, Houston, Texas, 2022–23
The Geneva Industries/Fuhrmann Energy Superfund Site in southeastern Houston, Texas was historically used as a site for petroleum exploration and petrochemical production and is currently (2023) inactive. Previous remedies to clean up the contaminated site included: excavation and off-site disposal of polychlorinated biphenyl-contaminated soils, capping of residual water on-site with a...
Surrogate regression models for computation of time series chloride concentrations, Chester County, Pennsylvania (2023) Surrogate regression models for computation of time series chloride concentrations, Chester County, Pennsylvania (2023)
In cooperation with state and county agencies, including the Chester County Water Resources Authority (CCWRA), the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has collected discrete stream samples for analysis of chloride concentrations at three real-time streamflow and water-quality monitoring (specific conductance) stations located in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Data were collected from 2010-2023...
Depth to Groundwater Measured from Wells Completed in the Chicot and Evangeline (Undifferentiated) and Jasper Aquifers, Greater Houston Area, Texas, 2022 Depth to Groundwater Measured from Wells Completed in the Chicot and Evangeline (Undifferentiated) and Jasper Aquifers, Greater Houston Area, Texas, 2022
This dataset documents depth to groundwater measurements made from wells screened in the Chicot aquifer, Evangeline aquifer, Jasper aquifer, Burkeville confining unit, Catahoula confining unit, or a combination of these hydrogeologic units in the greater Houston area, Texas for 2022. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) prepared this dataset in cooperation with the Harris‐Galveston...
