Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Digital elevation models with elevation uncertainty treatment, Grand Bay Estuary, Mississippi, 2015 - 2022 Digital elevation models with elevation uncertainty treatment, Grand Bay Estuary, Mississippi, 2015 - 2022
This data release includes outputs that were created using Monte Carlo simulations with the aim to reduce elevation overestimation in coastal wetlands at Grand Bay, MS. We evaluated the performance of coastal wetland elevation refinement by using bare earth digital elevation models (DEMs) and DEMs created from the last return from the light detection and ranging (lidar) point cloud...
Code and outputs for a mallard reproduction model incorporating migration delays and reduced adult body mass Code and outputs for a mallard reproduction model incorporating migration delays and reduced adult body mass
These data are outputs from a mallard (Anas platyrhynchos) reproduction model that accounts for breeding ground arrival time and the body mass of individuals. Specifically, adult female mallards that arrive late or with lower body mass have the potential for lower clutch sizes and are less likely to renest if a nest fails. The model is based on an existing mallard reproduction model that...
CoSMoS-AK Modeled flood and erosion hazards at Golovin- Coastal Alaska CoSMoS-AK Modeled flood and erosion hazards at Golovin- Coastal Alaska
This data release consists of flood hazard maps from compound coastal hazards--specifically sea-level rise (SLR) and projected coastal storms. Products include projected flood depths, flood extents including uncertainties, water elevations, wave heights, velocity hazard, and erosion and sedimentation pattern. These are generated using a suite of numerical models driven by outputs from...

Phytoplankton identification and enumeration data within an algal bloom at Lost Bay, Kabetogama Lake, northern Minnesota, 2022 Phytoplankton identification and enumeration data within an algal bloom at Lost Bay, Kabetogama Lake, northern Minnesota, 2022
This data release provides phytoplankton identification and enumeration data from an algal bloom at Lost Bay on Kabetogama Lake (USGS site ID 482747092503001) collected on September 20, 2022. These data were collected using a systematic grid design, 3 rows by 4 columns grid cells, where each grid cell contained a single sample location. A near-shore sample location, just outside the...
Acoustic-tagged juvenile late-fall Chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawutscha) detections in Shasta Reservoir, McCloud River, CA, 2017-2018, 2024-2025 Acoustic-tagged juvenile late-fall Chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawutscha) detections in Shasta Reservoir, McCloud River, CA, 2017-2018, 2024-2025
Three studies were conducted in Shasta Reservoir in California to evaluate downstream migration and behavior of juvenile late-fall run Chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawutscha) released in the McCloud River upstream of Shasta Dam in Spring 2017, Fall 2017, and Fall 2024. The goal of this study was to collect data beneficial for citing a juvenile salmon collection system for downstream...
