The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Analysis of Escherichia coli, total recoverable iron, and dissolved selenium concentrations and loads for selected 303(d) listed segments in the Grand Valley, western Colorado, 1991-2018 (ver. 3.0, August 2021) Analysis of Escherichia coli, total recoverable iron, and dissolved selenium concentrations and loads for selected 303(d) listed segments in the Grand Valley, western Colorado, 1991-2018 (ver. 3.0, August 2021)

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in cooperation with the Grand Valley Drainage District and the Colorado Water Conservation Board, conducted a loading analysis for selected constituents and tributaries to the Colorado River in the Grand Valley, western Colorado, using data from 1991 to 2018, to characterize concentrations, stream loading, and load reductions for Escherichia coli, total

Mercury and water level fluctuations in lakes of northern Minnesota - sampling site land cover and inundated area data Mercury and water level fluctuations in lakes of northern Minnesota - sampling site land cover and inundated area data

These data tables summarize land cover classifications, slope measurements, and inundated area estimates for several lakes in northern Minnesota, as part of a larger project seeking to identify associations between young-of-year Yellow Perch mercury content and water level metrics, temperature, and annual deposition data in a multivariate analysis. One table presents inundated area...

Lock and Dam 19 Mega-Imaging Sonar Mosaic, 2020 Lock and Dam 19 Mega-Imaging Sonar Mosaic, 2020

A high-resolution sidescan image of the Mississippi River, Lock and Dam 19 approach (downstream) was collected with a Humminbird Solix. Side-imaging sonar creates an image of underwater riverbed features by measuring the intensity of acoustic reflections. This mega side-imaging sonar data was collected and mosaicked to capture more detailed information on the condition of the lock...

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Forest Composition and Hawaii Elepaio Breeding Behavior 1992-1994 and 2015-2019 Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Forest Composition and Hawaii Elepaio Breeding Behavior 1992-1994 and 2015-2019

This data release contains the tabular data and metadata to record changes in forest composition (tree species relative abundance, tree density, tree height, and tree diameter) over a span from 1993-1994 and 2015-2019. The data also includes Hawaii elepaio breeding territory sizes, and nest site selection (nest tree species, nest tree height, nest tree diameter).

Results of repeated leveling surveys near the Three Sisters volcanic center, central Oregon, 2002-2008 Results of repeated leveling surveys near the Three Sisters volcanic center, central Oregon, 2002-2008

This Data Release includes results of repeated leveling surveys each summer from 2002 to 2006 and in 2008 along two short traverses in the Three Sisters Wilderness Area, central Oregon Cascade Range. A data dictionary explains the file format and contents. The dataset will be updated if new measurements are collected, which is unlikely unless there is a significant change in the rate or...

Data on Blood Analytes and Post-Release Survival in Spectacled Eiders (Somateria fischeri), Northern Alaska, 2010-2011 Data on Blood Analytes and Post-Release Survival in Spectacled Eiders (Somateria fischeri), Northern Alaska, 2010-2011

These data are in one table of variables that potentially influenced the immediate post-release survival of spectacled eiders (Somateria fischeri) from the Colville River Delta, Alaska marked with coelomically implanted satellite transmitters with percutaneous antennae in 2010 and 2011.
