Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Geologic Inputs for the 2023 Alaska Update to the U.S. National Seismic Hazard Model (NSHM) Geologic Inputs for the 2023 Alaska Update to the U.S. National Seismic Hazard Model (NSHM)
This data release is composed of three crustal (as opposed to subduction zone) geologic input datasets for the 2023 Alaska update to the U.S. National Seismic Hazard Model (NSHM): 1) fault section vector line data, 2) fault zone vector polygon data, and 3) accompanying earthquake geology attributes.
North American Bat Monitoring Program: R Data Connection Package, (Version 1.0.1) North American Bat Monitoring Program: R Data Connection Package, (Version 1.0.1)
The North American Bat Monitoring Program: R Data Connection Package can be used to extract and upload data to the NABat Monitoring Program through the GQL API. This software is written as a wrapper around the NABat GQL API. Documentation for the database and API can be found at https://sciencebase.usgs.gov/. This code includes the ability to reformat NABat data, upload NABat data...
Alaska Fault Trace Mapping, 2021 Alaska Fault Trace Mapping, 2021
This dataset provides a detailed (1:10,000) digital map of fault and fold traces in Alaska, USA based on features identified in the freely available ArcticDEM 3.0. The fault traces represented in this dataset either revise the location and accuracy of known active faults or folds archived in the USGS Quaternary Fault and Fold Database, or represent the surface traces of active structures...
Model Inputs and Outputs for Simulating and Predicting the Effects of Climate and Land-Use Changes on Thermal Springs Recharge: A System-Based Coupled Surface-water and Groundwater Model for Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas Model Inputs and Outputs for Simulating and Predicting the Effects of Climate and Land-Use Changes on Thermal Springs Recharge: A System-Based Coupled Surface-water and Groundwater Model for Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas
This data release contains model input and output files for simulating and predicting thermal spring flows at Hot Springs National Park (HOSP), Hot Springs, Arkansas. A three-dimensional hydrogeologic framework of the Hot Springs anticlinorium beneath Hot Springs National Park was constructed to represent the complex hydrogeology of HOSP and surrounding areas to depths exceeding 9,000...
Grain-Size Analysis Data From Sediment Samples in Support of Oceanographic and Water-Quality Measurements in the Nearshore Zone of Matanzas Inlet, Florida, 2018 Grain-Size Analysis Data From Sediment Samples in Support of Oceanographic and Water-Quality Measurements in the Nearshore Zone of Matanzas Inlet, Florida, 2018
The interactions of waves and currents near an inlet influence sediment and alter sea-floor bedforms, especially during winter storms. As part of the Cross-Shore and Inlets Processes project to improve our understanding of cross-shore processes that control sediment budgets, the U.S. Geological Survey deployed instrumented platforms at two sites near Matanzas Inlet between January 24 and...
The Louisiana Amphibian Monitoring Program from 1997 to 2017: Data The Louisiana Amphibian Monitoring Program from 1997 to 2017: Data
Call observation data from the Louisiana Amphibian Monitoring Program (LAMP). Each route has 10 stops. The routes are in one of 3 Louisiana regions (north, south and Florida parishes). Routes are identified by number and name. Call observations are categorical number 0 (not heard) through 3 (full chorus with overlapping calls). Each route has 10 stops. A full description of data...
