Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Geochemical Data Supporting Analysis of Fate and Transport of Nitrogen in the Nearshore Groundwater and Subterranean Estuary near East Falmouth, Massachusetts, 2015-2016 Geochemical Data Supporting Analysis of Fate and Transport of Nitrogen in the Nearshore Groundwater and Subterranean Estuary near East Falmouth, Massachusetts, 2015-2016
Geochemical data were obtained to investigate the fate and transport of nitrogen in a subterranean estuary near East Falmouth, Massachusetts. The goal of this investigation was to assess nitrogen attenuation in the aquifer under the Eel River estuary and the adjacent peninsula, introduced as inorganic nitrogen that was densely populated with residences havingfrom residential septic...
Aerial Surveys of Rock Sandpiper During Winter in upper Cook Inlet, Alaska, 1997-2012 Aerial Surveys of Rock Sandpiper During Winter in upper Cook Inlet, Alaska, 1997-2012
This data release consists of one table of multi-year observations of Rock Sandpipers (Calidris ptilocnemis) and aerial photographs of Rock Sandpiper flocks at sites in upper Cook Inlet, Alaska, 1997-2014.
Biomass Carbon Stock and Net Primary Productivity in Tidal Herbaceous Wetlands of the Conterminous United States Biomass Carbon Stock and Net Primary Productivity in Tidal Herbaceous Wetlands of the Conterminous United States
Product Description: This dataset provides maps of peak biomass carbon stock (C) in gC/m2 and net primary productivity (NPP) in gC/m2/yr of coastal herbaceous wetlands at a resolution of 30 m across the conterminous United States (CONUS) for 2015. Aboveground, belowground, and total peak biomass C and NPP are provided for tidal herbaceous wetlands. Data is presented for 1. all herbaceous...
Bird detections from multi-species point surveys at lowland forest restoration sites, Indiana, United States, April – June 2016, with resampling code Bird detections from multi-species point surveys at lowland forest restoration sites, Indiana, United States, April – June 2016, with resampling code
These data pertain to bird point surveys collected from 30 April 2016 to 12 May 2016 and 23 May 2016 to 25 June 2016 at four bottomland hardwood restoration sites in northeastern Indiana. The data are a single monitoring occasion with the purpose of documenting bird communities across these sites. During the time of collection, sites contained areas of hardwood planting ranging in age...
Digital and NDVI images from Dwarf Cypress, Big Cypress National Preserve from 2021 to 2025 (ver. 2.0, June 2025) Digital and NDVI images from Dwarf Cypress, Big Cypress National Preserve from 2021 to 2025 (ver. 2.0, June 2025)
This data set includes images from Dwarf Cypress located within Big Cypress National Preserve. Images were taken multiple times daily from February 2021 to June 2024 using a five-band multispectral camera equipped for normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) sensing and standard high-quality photographs.
Peak-flow frequency analyses for selected streamgages in Carter, Custer, Fallon, Powder River, and Prairie Counties, Montana, based on data through water year 2022 Peak-flow frequency analyses for selected streamgages in Carter, Custer, Fallon, Powder River, and Prairie Counties, Montana, based on data through water year 2022
The USGS Wyoming-Montana Water Science Center (WY–MT WSC) completed a report (Sando and McCarthy, 2018) documenting methods for peak-flow frequency analysis following implementation of the Bulletin 17C guidelines (England and others, 2019). The methods are used to provide estimates of peak-flow quantiles for 66.7-, 50-, 42.9-, 20-, 10-, 4-, 2-, 1-, 0.5-, and 0.2-percent annual exceedance
