Biological and environmental data collected in 2015 within mangrove habitats of Rookery Bay Preserve on Marco Island, FL. Biological and environmental data collected in 2015 within mangrove habitats of Rookery Bay Preserve on Marco Island, FL.

Mangrove restoration efforts often focus on planting seedlings and ignore the underlying physical parameters causing mangrove loss, such as disruption to the hydrological regime. In order to determine success of hydrological restoration, baseline data need to be collected and assessed from a degraded mangrove system undergoing hydrological restoration. Sample collection occurred within...

Whole Rock Analyses from the Yellowstone Plateau Volcanic Field Whole Rock Analyses from the Yellowstone Plateau Volcanic Field

The Yellowstone Plateau volcanic field and surrounding region is made up of over 3 billion years of geologic history, with 300+ separate rock types. To increase our understanding of the evolution of this active system and direct priorities for sample collection and field study, we compiled whole rock geochemical datasets from numerous thesis and papers (17 in total). We present these...

Transcriptomic Responses to Hexabromocyclododecane in Japanese Quail Transcriptomic Responses to Hexabromocyclododecane in Japanese Quail

This study examined effects of the brominated flame retardant hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD) on the avian endocrine system. Japanese quail (Coturnix japonica) were exposed to multiple doses of HBCD over multiple generations through feed and by maternal deposition into the egg. Liver transcriptomes were examined to identify genes and pathways directly affected by HBCD to better understand...

Surface Water and Groundwater Hydrology and Temperature, Beaver Creek, Kenai Peninsula, Alaska, 2022-2023 Surface Water and Groundwater Hydrology and Temperature, Beaver Creek, Kenai Peninsula, Alaska, 2022-2023

This data release contains measurements from continuous monitors of stream temperature, groundwater temperature, and well water levels, and discrete measurements of discharge and stream shading.

Sediment Thickness Data in the Deep-Sea Basins of the Bering Sea Sediment Thickness Data in the Deep-Sea Basins of the Bering Sea

A raster grid of sediment thickness in GeoTIFF format (BeringSeaBasins-SedimentThicknessGrid.tif) of the Aleutian, Bowers, and Komandorsky Basins was created by merging GeoTIFF grids of the Aleutian and Bowers Basins and of the Komandorsky Basin, provided in other sections of this data release. The raster grid file, along with a corresponding CSDGM FGDC-compliant metadata file, is...

Vegetation Transects to Measure Effects of Snow Goose Grazing on the Colville River Delta, Alaska Vegetation Transects to Measure Effects of Snow Goose Grazing on the Colville River Delta, Alaska

This data release corresponds to visual vegetation measurements in snow goose grazing areas of the Colville River Delta. Visual vegetation measurements data include functional group percent cover and evidence of goose activity including grazed stems, snow goose grubbing holes, and shoot pulling. These data were collected at a set of four 100m transects located in areas of representative...
