Launch day is a busy but exciting day for all SCREE participants, and in this photo, several members can be seen loading gear onto the rafts and making sure they are prepared. A 70-day expedition requires quite a bit of important equipment and rations, so the rafts are loaded with the appropriate items, and the inventory triple-checked.
