Large sediment deposits on the reef front around Oahu are a possible resource for replenishing eroded beaches. An overview is given on the collection of closely spaced, high-resolution subbottom profiles that clearly depict the deposits in three areas, namely, the Kailua Bay off the windward coast, Makua to Kahe Point off the leeward coast, and Camp Erdman to Waimea off the north coast.

Radiometric calibration of spacecraft using small lunar images Radiometric calibration of spacecraft using small lunar images
In this study, the data reduction steps that can be used to extract the lunar irradiance from low resolution images of the Moon are examined and the attendant uncertainties are quantitatively assessed. The response integrated over an image is compared to a lunar irradiance model being developed from terrestrial multi-band photometric observations over the 350-2500 nm range.
