A Climate Adaptation Early Career Workshop Recap
Early career researchers from across the CASCs gathered to connect and learn more about actionable science at the CASC Network’s first Early Career Workshop.
Over a hundred early career researchers, graduate students, and postdocs gathered in Albuquerque, New Mexico this past fall to participate in the first Climate Adaptation Early Career Workshop (ECW)! The CASC Network organized event centered on training a new generation of researchers on how to work with diverse stakeholders and partners to create actionable science. Through icebreakers, panels, presentations, and group discussions, the participants gained valuable skills in culturally appropriate research methods, scientific ethics, and community engagement. Early career researchers from across the CASCs attended the ECW, including scientists from the Pacific Islands CASC who attended and organized several sessions, and presented on Hawaiian Indigenous engagement.
