The recent launch of a new climate science education site offers engaging content and resources relevant to Hawai’i and the U.S. Affiliated Pacific Islands for students, educators, and researchers alike.

Using data gathered through research done in Hawai’i and the Pacific Islands, researchers supported by the Pacific Islands CASC and the U.S Geological Survey recently launched a K-12 Education website to provide educational materials for students, teachers and researchers. The website features lesson plans, interactive geo-narratives, data resources, and information on programs and opportunities for those at any educational or career level. The website provides educators with tools intended to inspire and facilitate local students’ ability to learn more about and engage in the climate science research occurring in their communities.

This work is supported by the Pacific Islands CASC project, “Develop, coordinate, and build capacity for educational and community outreach opportunities for PI-CASC”.
