The first meeting of the Advisory Council for Climate Adaptation Science (ACCAS) will be held on February 27-28, 2024, in Washington, D.C., and will be open to the public. 

Public attendees must register in advance (see below).

The Advisory Council for Climate Adaptation Science (ACCAS) advises the Secretary of the Interior on the operations of the Climate Adaptation Science Centers (CASCs). The first meeting of the ACCAS will be held on February 27-28, 2024, in Washington, D.C., and will be open to the public.

The ACCAS meeting will be held in person on Tuesday, February 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Wednesday, February 28, from 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. eastern standard time. A virtual option for attendance will be provided. 

Agenda topics will cover background information about the CASCs; the development of priorities and a workplan for the ACCAS; and discussion of possible ACCAS subcommittees. The meeting agenda and briefing materials can be found at: https://www.sciencebase.gov/catalog/item/65ce8b3ed34ec3e1801bd0fc.

All public attendees (non-members) MUST register by February 20, 2024. Registration links for both virtual and in-person registrations can be found below.
 

Virtual Registration: 

To register for virtual participation, please complete and submit a Virtual Registration Form. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email from ZoomGov containing instructions for joining the meeting.


In-Person Registration:

Due to limitations in seating capacity, registrations for in-person attendance will be accepted on a first-come, first served basis. If we are unable to accept your in-person registration, you will be notified via email and provided with instructions for attending virtually. To express interest in participating in-person, please submit your In-Person Registration Form by February 20, 2024. Please note that onsite registrations will not be accepted.

Public Comments:

There will be an opportunity for public comment during the meeting. Depending on the number of people who wish to speak and the time available, the time for individual comments may be limited. Written comments may also be sent for consideration. If you would like to submit a public comment in advance of the meeting, please fill out the ACCAS Public Comment Form. All comments will be shared with Council members.
