Ocean Biogeographic Information System USA (OBIS-USA)
OBIS-USA is the US Node of the Ocean Biogeographic Information System, providing the collection and distribution point to OBIS of marine biogeographic records in U.S. waters or collected with U.S. funding. Using the Darwin Core standard, OBIS-USA integrates and makes accessible data on marine species presence, absence, and abundance to aid scientists, resource managers, and decisions makers.
Advanced Research Computing (ARC)
The ARC activity’s mission is to provide high-performance computing (HPC) capabilities and expertise to USGS scientists for the acceleration and expansion of scientific discovery. Machine access, training workshops, and project consultations are provided to USGS researches in need of these advanced computing capabilities.
USGS Library
The USGS Library, managed by CSAS&L, supports all fundamental scientific research conducted within USGS. It serves both internal and external customers with comprehensive access to literature, data, and information necessary understand USGS mission areas and make critical decisions about how to proceed with research initiatives and investigations in the earth and natural sciences.
Data Release Workbench
The USGS Data Release Workbench provides a user-friendly view of USGS data release requirements, in line with with Federal Open Data and Open Access goals, and allows USGS researchers to track progress toward releasing their data.
Community for Data Integration (CDI)
The CDI is a collaboration of USGS scientists, data managers, policy experts, and other organizations that promote data integration capabilities and data management best practices. It is an instrumental community of practice for leveraging expertise and resources to test new technologies and institutionalize best practices.
Gap Analysis Project (GAP)
GAP provides data to assess effects of land management by providing information on where species and natural communities occur and how they are being managed. "Gap analysis" assesses how well we are protecting common plants and animals by identifying the degree to which animal species and plant communities are under-represented on protected lands such as parks and refuges.

U.S. Register of Introduced and Invasive Species StoryMap U.S. Register of Introduced and Invasive Species StoryMap
Comprehensive and Authoritative Lists of Non-Native Taxa Established in Alaska, Hawaii, and the Conterminous United States.
ScienceBase ScienceBase
ScienceBase is data and information management infrastructure that enables data upload, documentation, sharing, and dynamic data services using standards-compliant methods and technological components. ScienceBase furnishes a foundation for data stewardship, government open data, and scientific discovery.
ScienceBase Data Release Tool ScienceBase Data Release Tool
The ScienceBase Data Release (SBDR) Tool allows users to create a ScienceBase landing page and reserve a digital object identifier (DOI) for their data release by completing a simple form.
Metadata Parser Metadata Parser
Metadata Parser (MP) is a metadata validation tool and service that checks your XML, SGML, or TSV (tab-separated values) against the FGDC Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata.
Science Data Catalog Science Data Catalog
The USGS Science Data Catalog provides seamless access to USGS research and monitoring data from across the nation. Users have the ability to search, browse, or use a map-based interface to discover data.
Model Catalog Model Catalog
As an Earth science organization, the USGS develops and builds models for scientific analysis and computation. Information about these models exists in many different places across the bureau. The Model Catalog compiles and links the information in one place so that models are discoverable and reusable. The catalog will support and enable model use and integration.
