Audrey M. Martinez
Physical Scientist for the Washington Water Science Center
Audrey is a Physical Scientist in the Groundwater Section at the Washington Water Science Center. She started with the USGS in 2023 and has been involved in remote sensing projects, well testing, water use modeling and sediment sampling. Audrey specializes in hydrogeology and data visualizations including GIS and remote sensing imagery.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining the USGS, she worked at the Nez Perce Tribe coordinating RCRA and CERCLA compliance and finds environmental law equally interesting. Audrey has also served in Americorps as a research technician for the Palouse Conservation District installing PALs and flying a UAS to capture riparian erosion. Other research experience includes soil and water phosphorus, exploratory geospatial data analysis, geospatial regression modeling, potential species habitat modeling, and spatial econometrics.
