Ben Sperl

Ben Sperl is a Hydrologic Technician with the Indianapolis Office of the Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana (OKI) WSC.

He started with the USGS in 2014 working on a project to compile and standardize state water-well records and lithologic logs for the glaciated United States. More recently, this effort has been expanded to the rest of the conterminous United States in compilation of a National Water-Well Database (NWWDB) under the National Hydrologic Geospatial Fabric (NHGF) project. Ben has worked as a field technician collecting and analyzing streamflow data, and currently serves as a Local Data Manager (LDM) for his WSC. He earned an MS in Geographic Information Science from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis in 2014 and a BA in Geography from Indiana University in 2012.
