Bojan Milinic

Bojan Milinic is a scientist at the Upper Midwest Water Science Center. His work focuses on writing code to compile groundwater data from a variety of sources and databases, automate figure creation involving geologic maps and other data science work. He also assists with model calibration and developing workflows.

I primarily work with the Center's Groundwater Characterization and Groundwater/Watershed Modeling Teams. So far, I've worked on a variety of tasks utilizing the Python programming language, mapping with ArcGIS Pro, and the Soil Water Balance (SWB) Model. On the Water Quality Gaps Analysis Project, I've worked on data analysis and visualization for comparing variables and creating figures. I'm also attempting to automate ArcGIS Pro processes. On the Bemidji project, I'm using Python for data organization with the ultimate goal of creating a smooth workflow. The focus there is to take data from different sources and combine them into a format ready (or almost ready) for data release. For the SWB project, my work has focused on the initial set-up and calibration of the model.
