Cassia recieved a B.S. in Animal and Nutitional Sciences (2020) and a M.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Resources (2022) from West Virginia University. She is a part of the Population and Conservation Genetics team at EESC where she does lab work leading to the genomic sequencing of environmental DNA samples for various projects ranging from deep-sea corals to pollinator communities.
