Cris Candice Tuck is a physical scientist with the National Minerals Information Center responsible for researching, collecting and analyzing data, and publishing reports on cesium, iron ore, iron and steel, iron and steel scrap, and rubidium. As a Mineral Commodity Specialist, their duties include interagency support, industry expertise, academic research, and public information.
Cris Candice Tuck has been a Mineral Commodity Specialist with the National Minerals Information Center since 2012, where they began as the Iron Ore Specialist. Since then, they have also become the specialist assigned to iron and steel, iron and steel scrap, iron and steel slag, cesium, and rubidium. During this time with the Center, they have also covered silicon and ferroalloys, as well as peer reviewing publications such as bromine, cobalt, platinum-group metals, and metals recycling. In addition to primary duties, Cris Candice acts as a technical liason for colleauges and has developed multiple internal programs focused on workplace efficiency and developing a database for global minerals production. They were also the lead author on a publication clarifying the reporting of iron ore in China, changing the paradigm for global reporting methodology of iron production.
