Jeff Zingre
Jeff Zingre is a hydrologist with the USGS Idaho Water Science Center's Idaho National Laboratory Project Office in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Jeff began his science career while an undergraduate student at Florida Gulf Coast University. As a technician working in the university's marine laboratory, he gained experience in analytical chemistry and the ecotoxicology of coral reef ecosystems. Jeff continued at FGCU as a graduate student helping to examine the effects of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill on coastal watersheds using benthic diatoms as a proxy. Jeff joined the USGS in 2021 as a hydrologic technician in Idaho Falls, gaining experience in both surface-water and groundwater hydrology. He was designated as the lead technician for water quality. He continues his research interests in water quality and leads geophysical studies at the Idaho National Laboratory.
