Kevin L Murphy

Kevin began his USGS career as a Hydrologic Technician in the Ithaca, NY office in 2003, where he learned the fundamentals of surface water stream gaging. In 2005, he transferred to Meeker, CO, where he broadened his skills by collecting water quality samples, and maintaining water quality monitors. In 2012, Kevin transferred to the Durango, CO field office, where he become the Lead Hydrologic Technician for the Durango Field Office. He oversees a staff of three on day-to-day operations, quality assurance, and timeliness of data collection. Kevin is responsible for overseeing the collection of six discrete water quality sampling sites, ten multiparameter monitors, and thirty-two surface water gages.
