Laura works as a Fish Biologist in the Grand Canyon, as well as in other aquatic ecosystems on the Colorado Plateau.
She is involved in a variety of projects focusing on the distribution of eDNA of rare fish species, monitoring of the Humpback Chub population, determining Channel Catfish abundance, and assessing early life stage vital rates and hatch dates for young-of-year Brown Trout. Her current research interests are in mark-recapture and occupancy modeling.
