Michelle Knuppe

Biography

Michelle Knuppe is a US Geological Survey Physical Scientist with the USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center in Sioux Falls, SD.  She began her career as a USGS student with EROS in 1999 and her work has included working on several mapping projects.  Michelle has worked on Land Cover Trends mapping land cover and land use change using remotely sensed data.  Next she worked on LANDFIRE conducting field work and mapping ecoregions.  She then worked on the Monitoring Trends in Burn Severity (MTBS) project mapping fires to assess the severity.  She is currently working on the Land-cover Modeling project.
