Miles Mayer
Miles Mayer is a hydrologic technician at the USGS Oregon Water Science Center.
Miles has worked as a hydrologic technician at the Oregon Water Science Center in the Portland Field Office since 2017 .
Professional Experience
Mile's work is centered around stream gaging in northwest Oregon and more specifically in and around the Bull Run Watershed. The work involves construction, monitoring, programing, and maintaining of discharge and water quality stations operated by the USGS.
He is currently enrolled in a master’s program through Portland State University’s geography department, where he focuses on stream restoration, water resource management and availability, water quality, and hydrologic modeling.
Education and Certifications
Miles earned a B.S. in environmental science with a minor in geology from Western Washington University in 2017.
