Miluska Olivera-Hyde is a research biologist. She received her doctoral degree in fish and wildlife conservation from Virginia Tech, where she studied phylogenetics and morphometrics of mussels commonly known as pigtoes from the Green River, Kentucky. She also received her master’s degree in environmental and biological science from Troy University (Alabama) and her bachelor's degree in biology from the Universidad Nacional de San Agustin (Arequipa, Peru). Her research interests include population genetics/genomics and phylogenetics in mussels, fish, and wildlife species.
