Utah StreamStats
StreamStats for Utah was developed in cooperation with the Utah Department of Natural Resources, Division of Water Rights and Water Resources, and the Utah Department of Transportation.
StreamStats for Utah can be used to estimate the magnitude of peak flows under natural streamflow conditions at the 2-, 5-, 10-, 25-, 50-, 100-, 200-, and 500-year recurrence-intervals. The report below presents the equations used to estimate the flow statistics, describes the errors associated with the estimates, and describes the methods used to develop the equations and to measure the basin characteristics used in the equations. Users should familiarize themselves with the report before using StreamStats to obtain estimates of streamflow statistics for ungaged sites.

NOTE: Estimates of flow statistics from regression equations are not available for a portion of northwestern Utah that drains northward to the Snake River in Idaho using the Utah StreamStats application. The Idaho regression equations are considered more applicable in this area than the Utah equations. Idaho StreamStats can be used to obtain estimates of flow statistics from regression equations in this area.
