The sample chart below shows (in tabular format) FSP requirements for reporting project progress.

Product type abbreviations:

  • IPDS, Information Product Data System
  • JA, Journal article
  • OFR, USGS Open-File Report
  • RFFIR, USGS Restricted-File Federal Interagency Report (formerly Administrative Report)

Content abbreviations:

  • HIVI, Highly visible information
  • INFL, Influential scientific information or highly influential scientific assessment (refer to definitions here)
  • IPAP, Interpretive information based on previously approved published products (if new conclusions are not included)
  • NEWI, New interpretive information
  • NONI, Noninterpretive information
  • PSEN, Policy sensitive information

Review required by abbreviations:

  • BAO, Bureau Approving Official in Office of Science Quality and Integrity; X, required review
  • CD, Science Center Director (or designee) or equivalent
  • PEER, Technical reviewer
  • SUPV, Supervisor
