FY21 CDI Request for Proposals Released

Release Date:

Join us this fall for a unique community-driven process for building USGS capabilities in data integration and management.

Core Science Systems and Office of Enterprise Information leadership is excited to announce the FY21 USGS Community for Data Integration (CDI) Request for Proposals.

All interested scientists and staff are urged to consider participating in this opportunity to join a community that spans all mission areas and regions. With more than 1600 members, CDI's goal is to advance USGS science by building and sharing knowledge about technical innovation and data integration.

This year, we are encouraging proposals that build increased capacity for Integrated Predictive Science related to fire science and coastal resilience and protection.

One-page statements of interest are invited for submission and are due by Friday, October 16, 2020 at 5 pm ET.  See the proposal website for more details.

You are also invited to participate in a special webinar on Wednesday, September 23 at 3 pm ET, to learn more about the CDI, the two-phase RFP process, community voting, and the evaluation criteria used to select proposals. This valuable insight is strongly recommended for anyone planning to submit a statement of interest. The webinar will be recorded for those not able to make the session. Webinar details are available on the USGS All-Employee Calendar.

CDI activities continue to benefit science data integration capabilities across the USGS by providing an open forum for knowledge sharing and collaboration. Come see what it’s all about by visiting the CDI webpage.

For additional information, contact CDI coordinator, Leslie Hsu (lhsu@usgs.gov).

We hope that you will consider being part of this innovative and productive RFP process!
