Kelly receives feedback from elementary student invasive species outreach event
Kasia Kelly (GLSC, Chesterton, Indiana) gave a presentation on aquatic invasive species of the Great Lakes region for first and third grade students from Discovery Charter School in Porter, Indiana, on November 8, 2018.
Kasia Kelly (GLSC, Chesterton, Indiana) gave a presentation on aquatic invasive species of the Great Lakes region for first and third grade students from Discovery Charter School in Porter, Indiana, on November 8, 2018. Kelly brought rusty crayfish, round goby, sea lamprey and quagga mussels for hands-on experience. Altogether, almost 120 very curious students participated in the event. She received a cache of hand drawn thank you cards a few weeks later from the students.
