Train USGS staff to effectively use Git, GitLab, Python and R within the USGS environment
We plan to provide a hands-on workshop to teach important skills related to creating reproducible data and workflows in Python and R; using open science infrastructure such as Git and GitLab; and sharing and publishing code according to USGS policy requirements. Following the workshop and session, USGS scientists will understand how Python can be used to access and manipulate USGS analysis ready data (ARD) and how to use Git and GitLab for releasing software.
