Join the USGS Eastern Ecological Science Center for an Earth Day Open House event.

When: Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. EDT to 4:00 p.m. EDT

Where: 11649 Leetown Rd. Kearneysville, WV 25430

The USGS Eastern Ecological Science Center is hosting a free Earth Day Open House event in Kearneysville, West Virginia. Demonstrations will highlight science and activities happening at the USGS Eastern Ecological Science Center.  Events will include touring an experimental stream laboratory, extracting DNA from a strawberry, life of fish, learning about pollinators, crafts, learning how to ID stream organisms and macroinvertebrates, mapping, livestreaming a dive from a research cruise in the Pacific Ocean, watershed activities and more. 

Exhibits may include:
