• Field Definition:  Indication of existance of reduced-resolution browse. Please note that footprints and overlays are not applicable to this collection.

          Values:

          Y = Yes, a browse does exist.

          N = No, a browse does not exist.

 

Continent

• Field Definition:  Area of data capture. Six of the seven continents are represented in this collection. Data for the continent of Antarctica was not captured.

 

Coordinates - Decimal Degrees

• Field Definition:  The latitude and longitude are provided in decimal degrees for the following fields:

           Values:

           Scene Center Latitude and Longitude

           Northeast (NE) Corner Latitude and Longitude

           Northwest (NW) Corner Latitude and Longitude

           Southeast (SE) Corner Latitude and Longitude

           Southwest (SW) Corner Latitude and Longitude

 

           Latitude Format Decimal Degrees: -90.000 through 90.000

           Longitude Format Decimal Degrees: -180.000 through 180.000

 

           Number of decimal places will vary by dataset – check collection in EE.

• Field Definition:  The latitude and longitude are provided in degrees, minutes, and seconds for the following fields:

          Values:

          Scene Center Latitude and Longitude

          Northeast (NE) Corner Latitude and Longitude

          Northwest (NW) Corner Latitude and Longitude

          Southeast (SE) Corner Latitude and Longitude

          Southwest (SW) Corner Latitude and Longitude

          DDDMMSS.SSH

          DDD = Degree(s) with a range of 0 through 180

          MM = Minute(s) with a range of 0 through 59

          SS.SS = Second(s) with a range of 0 through 59.99

          H = Hemisphere with E for east and W for west

 

         Latitude Format:

         DDMMSS.SSH

         DD = Degree(s) with a range of 0 through 90

         MM = Minutes(s) with a range of 0 through 59

         SS.SS = Second(s) with a range of 0 through 59.99

         H = Hemisphere with N for north and S for south

• Field Definition:  Date of last update.

• Field Definition:  Format in which this data is available for download.

          Values:

Entity ID

• Field Definition:  This field uniquely identifies each scene.

          Format:

          GT30HIKAS

          GT30 = Global Topo 30 minute

          H = Hydrologic

          1K = One Kilometer

          Next two charaters indicate the country as follows:

          AS = Asia

          EU = European Union

          AF = Africa

          AU = Australasia

          SA = South America

          NA = North America

 

Number of Columns

• Field Definition:  The column space, C(A) of a matrix (sometimes called the range of a matrix) is the set of all possible linear combinations of its column vectors; Number of columns in an image.

 

Number of Rows

• Field Definition:  The row space of a matrix is the set of all possible linear combinations of its row vectors; Number of rows in an image.

 

Latitude of Origin

• Field Definition:  The latitude value that defines the origin of the y-coordinate values for a projection.

 

Longitude of Origin

• Field Definition:  The longitude value that defines the origin of the x-coordinate values for a projection.

 

Month Number of Acquisition

• Field Definition:  The month number of the acquisition date.

 

Pixel Size

• Field Definition:  A pixel is generally thought of as the smallest single component of a digital image. The more pixels used to represent an image, the closer the result can resemble the original object.

 

Projection

• Field Definition:  Map projection applied to this data. Any mathematical function transforming coordinates from the curved surface to the plane is a projection.

 

Publication Date

• Field Definition:  Date of publication or acquisition of the data.

 

Radius Sphere of Influence

• Field Definition:  Radius of the region where the gravitational influence of a body prevails over the influence of other bodies.
