Acquisition date

• Field Definition:  The year, month, and day the image was acquired.

              Format:
              YYYY/MM/DD hh:mm:ss
              YYYY = Year
              MM = Month
              DD = Day
              hh = Hour
              mm = Minute
              ss = Second
 

Administrative District

• Field Definition:  The Administrative District portion of a country or other region delineated for the purpose of administration in which the image is located.
   

Continent

• Field Definition:  The continent or landmass in which the image is located.

              Values:
              Africa
              Asia
              Europe
              North America
              Oceania (also known as Australia)
              South America

              Note: No images are available over Antarctica.
 

Coordinates Decimal Degrees

• Field Definition:  The latitude and longitude are provided in decimal degrees for the following fields:

              Format:
              Latitude Format Decimal Degrees: -90.000 through 90.000
              Longitude Format Decimal Degrees: -180.000 through 180.000

              Number of decimal places will vary by dataset – check collection in EarthExplorer.

              Values:
              Coordinates in decimal degrees for the following fields:
              Scene Center Latitude and Longitude
              Northeast (NE) Corner Latitude and Longitude
              Northwest (NW) Corner Latitude and Longitude
              Southeast (SE) Corner Latitude and Longitude
              Southwest (SW) Corner Latitude and Longitude
 

Coordinates Degrees, Minutes, Seconds

• Field Definition:  The latitude and longitude are provided in degrees, minutes, and seconds for the following fields:

               Latitude Format:
               DDMMSS.SSH
               DD = Degree(s) with a range of 0 through 90
               MM = Minutes(s) with a range of 0 through 59
               SS.SS = Second(s) with a range of 0 through 59.99
               H = Hemisphere with N for north and S for south

               Longitude Format:
               DDDMMSS.SSH
               DDD = Degree(s) with a range of 0 through 180
               MM = Minute(s) with a range of 0 through 59
               SS.SS = Second(s) with a range of 0 through 59.99
               H = Hemisphere with E for east and W for west

               Note: Note: Number of decimal places will vary by dataset – check collection in EarthExplorer.

• Field Definition:  The country or region identified as a distinct entity in political geography in which the image is located.
   

Entity ID

• Field Definition:  A unique series of letters and numbers based on information related to the photograph that are used to identify the image.

    H - Hemisphere (N or S)
    ddddd - Longitude in decimal degrees (ddd.dd)

• Field Definition:  The format available for download.
   

Nearest City

• Field Definition:  The Nearest City (proximity) to which the imagery is located.
   

Processing Level

• Field Definition:  The processing level indicates the type of correction that has been applied to the scene. Level 0 has all communications artifacts (e.g., synchronization frames, communications headers, and duplicate data) removed.
   

State

• Field Definition:  The State in which the imagery is located.
