Acquisition Date

• Field Definition:  The year, month, and day the image was acquired.

                 Format:
                 YYYY/MM/DD
                 YYYY = Year
                 MM = Month
                 DD = Day
 

Cloud Cover

• Field Definition:  Cloud Cover is the percentage of a scene that is obscured by clouds. Users are encouraged to preview browse images prior to downloading data products to confirm acceptable cloud cover impacts. Values may not be available for all scenes.

                 Values:
                 0 - 100
 

Coordinates Decimal Degrees

• Field Definition:  The latitude and longitude are provided in decimal degrees for the following fields:

                 Values:      
                 Scene Center Latitude and Longitude
                 Northeast (NE) Corner Latitude and Longitude
                 Northwest (NW) Corner Latitude and Longitude
                 Southeast (SE) Corner Latitude and Longitude
                 Southwest (SW) Corner Latitude and Longitude

                 Latitude Format Decimal Degrees: -90.000 through 90.000
                 Longitude Format Decimal Degrees: -180.000 through 180.000

                 Number of decimal places will vary by dataset – check collection in EE.
 

Coordinates - Degrees, Minutes, Seconds

• Field Definition:  The latitude and longitude are provided in degrees, minutes, and seconds for the following fields:

                 Values:
                 Scene Center Latitude and Longitude
                 Northeast (NE) Corner Latitude and Longitude
                 Northwest (NW) Corner Latitude and Longitude
                 Southeast (SE) Corner Latitude and Longitude
                 Southwest (SW) Corner Latitude and Longitude

                Longitude Format:
                DDDMMSS.SSH
                DDD = Degree(s) with a range of 0 through 180
                MM = Minute(s) with a range of 0 through 59
                SS.SS = Second(s) with a range of 0 through 59.99
                H = Hemisphere with E for east and W for west

                Latitude Format:
                DDMMSS.SSH
                DD = Degree(s) with a range of 0 through 90
                MM = Minutes(s) with a range of 0 through 59
                SS.SS = Second(s) with a range of 0 through 59.99
                H = Hemisphere with N for north and S for south
 

Date Entered

• Field Definition:  The date the inventory record was added to the database.
   

Datum

• Field Definition:  The horizontal reference system associated with the image.

                 Values:
                 WGS84
 

Entity ID

• Field Definition:  The naming convention of each scene is based on the Vendor ID.
   

File Format

• Field Definition:  The file format of the image.

                 Values:
                 GeoTIFF
 

Map Projection

• Field Definition:  The method used to represent the 3-dimensional surface of the earth.

                 Values:
                 Geographic
 

Pixel Size X

• Field Definition:  The image Pixel size width (X) measured in meters.
   

Pixel Size Y

• Field Definition:  The image Pixel size height (Y) measured in meters.
   

Processing Level

• Field Definition:  The level of correction applied to the image. All scenes were delivered as Basic Enhanced (Level 1B) and processed to Level 1Gst when possible.

                 Values:
                 Level 1B provides radiometric corrections.

                 Level 1Gst provides systematic geometric corrections derived from spacecraft ephemeris data while employing a 90-                           meter Digital Elevation Model (DEM) for topographic accuracy.
 

Satellite

• Field Definition:  The platform from which the data was acquired.

                 Values:
                 ORBVIEW-3
 

Sensor

• Field Definition:  The satellite instrument from which the data was acquired.

                 Values:
                 MS = Multispectral
                 PAN = Panchromatic
 

Sun Azimuth

• Field Definition:  Azimuth is the angle of horizontal deviation, measured clockwise, of a bearing from a standard direction. The Sun azimuth angle at the scene center.

                 Values:
                 -180.00 through +180.00 degrees

                 Note: A positive value (+) indicates angles to the East or clockwise from North: a negative value (-) indicates angles to the                   West or counter clockwise from North.
 

Sun Elevation

• Field Definition:  Elevation is the angle of vertical deviation, measured clockwise, of a bearing from a standard direction. The Sun elevation angle at the scene center.

                 Values:
                 -90.00 through +90.00 degrees

                 NOTE: A positive value (+) indicates a daytime scene; a negative value (-) indicates a nighttime scene.
 

Vendor

• Field Definition:  The name of the company that provided the data.
   

Vendor Scene ID

• Field Definition:  The filename provided by the original vendor.
