Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Data Dictionary
The Data Dictionaries are a set of information describing the contents, format, and structure of elements for EarthExplorer products.
- Field Definition: The acquisition date refers to the year, month, and day the data was acquired.
Format:
YYYY/MM/DD
YYYY = Year
MM = Month
DD = Day
- Field Definition: The organization that initiated the acquisition of the imagery.
- Field Definition: The flying height above ground level at which the data were acquired.
- Field Definition: A name assigned to a single flight duration.
- Field Definition: The file size of the compressed data for the download.
- Field Definition: The latitude and longitude are provided in decimal degrees for the following fields for georeferenced products:

Northeast (NE) Corner Latitude and Longitude
Northwest (NW) Corner Latitude and Longitude
Southeast (SE) Corner Latitude and Longitude
Southwest (SW) Corner Latitude and Longitude

Latitude Format Decimal Degrees: -90.000 through 90.000
Longitude Format Decimal Degrees: -180.000 through 180.000

Coordinates Degrees, Minutes, Seconds
- Field Definition: The latitude and longitude are provided in degrees, minutes, and seconds for the following fields for georeferenced products:

Longitude Format: DDDMMSS.SSH
DDD = Degrees with a range of 0 through 180
MM = Minutes with a range of 0 through 59
SS.SS = Seconds with a range of 0 through 59.99
H = Hemisphere with E for east and W for west
Latitude Format: DDMMSS.SSH
DD = Degrees with a range of 0 through 90
MM = Minutes with a range of 0 through 59
SS.SS = Seconds with a range of 0 through 59.99
H = Hemisphere with N for north and S for south

- Field Definition: The type of Unmanned Aerial Systems data.

- Field Definition: The horizontal reference system used to map the data.

- Field Definition: The type of Digital Elevation Model data available for download.

DSM = Digital Surface Model
DTM = Digital Terrain Model
- Field Definition: This field describes the naming convention of each file.

- Field Definition: The Field Center associated with organization that initiated the acquisition of the imagery
- Field Definition: The distance from the optical center of a lens to the point where light rays from a very distant object converge.
- Field Definition: The projected coordinate system used to define the location of the data.

UTM
- Field Definition: A name assigned to a set of UAS data files for a specific acquisition period for a project.
- Field Definition: Number of spectral bands contained in the image.
- Field Definition: The model used to create the orthoimagery.
- Field Definition: The movement up and down along a vertical axis from the front to the back of the UAS.
- Field Definition: The vertical measurement/dimension of the image expressed in pixels.
- Field Definition: The horizontal measurement/dimension of the image expressed in pixels.
- Field Definition: The type of UAS platform used to acquire the data.

Falcon Fixed Wing
- Field Definition: A name given to a set of UAS data files that identifies the area of coverage.
- Field Definition: The rotation of the UAS from nose to tail as the aircraft moves forward, backward, left, or right along a horizontal axis.
- Field Definition: The aerial camera or imaging system used to obtain the data.

- Field Definition: The file size of the data prior to compressing for the download package.
- Field Definition: The filename assigned by the original vendor.
- Field Definition: The rotation of the UAS from the center axis in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction (spinning motion).
