Lidar point cloud, raster, and RTK GNSS survey data for pre- and post-restoration of Ackerson Meadows, Yosemite National Park, California, USA
A collection of lidar point cloud, raster, and real-time kinematic global navigation satellite system (RTK GNSS) survey data of Central and South Ackerson Meadow to aid in monitoring wetland meadow restoration. Uncrewed aircraft system (UAS) lidar collections were flown in June 2023 (before restoration), November 2023, and November 2024 (after restoration), with one forthcoming collection in 2026. Two terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) surveys were collected in Central Ackerson Meadow, accompanied by RTK GNSS surveys across both meadows in June 2023. The UAS and TLS lidar point clouds are accompanied by their derivative digital terrain model (DTM) rasters. These data will serve as the baseline for the pre-restoration (June 2023 collections) and altered post-restoration (November 2023 onward collections) to monitor change in eco-hydrological and geomorphic conditions of the meadows. Funding for the collection of the data was provided by the National Park Service (NPS) with support from American Rivers and the Yosemite Conservancy.
