September 24, 2020
This data release contains analytical results from 536 fish tissue samples analyzed for over 230 analytes including polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), pesticides, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, organochlorine and other persistent organic compounds, metals, lipids and moisture content. In 2017, 159 samples were collected at four locations in the Buffalo River Area of Concern. In 2021, an additional 377 samples were collected from the same four locations and one reference location on Cattaraugus Creek. The data set includes a variety of laboratory quality assurance data including sample duplicates, laboratory blank data, laboratory spike data, matrix spike recoveries, and replicate matrix spike recoveries.
