Michael William Schmidt
(He/him)Michael oversees the Western Fisheries Research Center. He is a trained manager, communicator, process facilitator, and collaborator of multi-disciplinary science.
Michael supports the administration of critical research and the process of translating science to management for fisheries and marine ecosystems in the western United States. Previously, Michael worked as Deputy Director for the salmon recovery nonprofit, Long Live the Kings, where he established and led collaborative research.
