June 17, 2016 - New Landsat-derived Global Land Cover Data Available

A new 30-meter Global Land Cover data product is now available to download.

The new product consists of layers of circa-2010 tree cover and bare ground, as well as persistent surface water layer 2000-2012 and is derived from Landsat 7 Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+) data.The Global Land Cover layers are the results of collaboration between the USGS and Univ. of Maryland, Department of Geographical Sciences.
