October 31, 2014 - Updates made to the LandsatLook Viewer

The LandsatLook Viewer is a prototype tool that was developed to allow rapid online viewing and access to the USGS Landsat image archives.

The Viewer enables interactive exploration of Landsat 1-8 imagery at up to full resolution using only a web browser.

Along with on-screen viewing and image export (“screen scrape”) functions, it also provides metadata information and download access to Landsat Level-1 standard data products.

The USGS EROS Center has released the first of a series of planned updates to the original prototype viewer. These changes include improved usability and flow of user search interactions, enhanced supporting documentation and links, bug fixes, and performance improvements.

We welcome suggestions and feedback from the Landsat user community, as the USGS continues to plan and implement additional changes over the coming months.
