April 21, 2017 - Reminder: Upcoming Changes to Landsat Pre-Collection Inventory

As previously announced, effective April 30, 2017, newly-acquired Landsat 7 ETM+ and Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS scenes will be processed into the Landsat Collection 1 inventory structure only; Landsat Pre-Collection inventory will no longer be populated with newly-acquired data.

Users are strongly encouraged to download Landsat Collection 1 data, as the Landsat Pre-Collection inventory will be removed from EarthExplorer eventually. The discontinuation of Landsat Pre-Collection inventory availability will be communicated to the Landsat user community once a date has been determined.
