September 12, 2017 - Upcoming Landsat 9 Preliminary Design Review

The Landsat 9 Preliminary Design Review (PDR), scheduled for September 12-14, 2017, allows for an independent Standing Review Board to understand and determine if all of the components of Landsat 9 are integrated collectively through the preliminary design phase

This review is an important step toward Key Decision Point C in December, 2017 at which time the project formally transitions into the implementation phase, and also confirms that NASA and the USGS are committed to maintaining a development schedule that will meet a December 2020 launch readiness date.
