Hurricane Florence SAR imagery

This Google Earth image of North Carolina includes overlays from a Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) satellite using high-resolution Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery. USGS Project Management team members used this image as a working document to assess the needs of areas impacted in North Carolina by Hurricane Florence. The overlays provided by KARI through the International Charter “Space and Major Disasters" were used where there is a high urban population, flooding, and landscape that was still under cloud cover.
