NPS and USGS Collaborate to Develop Management Options in Utah
Detailed Description
The USGS RAMPS program along with 8+ National Parks in Utah are working together to develop management actions given ongoing drought. The group is working to define refuges and vulnerabilities in grassland ecosystems that work to hold soil in place and provide habitat and forage for many species. This photo was taken at the first workshop, where the group developed a shared vision of the importance of grasslands, an understanding of the USGS science around grassland ecology in the area, and a strategy to work together to develop management options.
