Results from a spatial optimization analysis

Detailed Description

Results from a spatial optimization analysis to identify solutions that are robust to uncertainty associated with sea-level rise and urbanization at Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge (from Eaton et al. 2019, see citation in Figure 2). Reserve designs are achieved by acquiring, declining, retaining, or divesting from individual land parcels, which together comprise the reserve. The optimal combination of these actions is found that results in the highest cumulative conservation value, summed across habitat constituents (e.g., marsh, maritime forest, open water). “No regret” refers to a portfolio that does not vary across risk-tolerance levels.
