Experience the Landsat 9 Launch!

The Landsat 9 satellite is on schedule to launch no sooner than September 27 from Vandenberg Space Force Base near Lompoc, California. The city of Lompoc has declared the week of September 23 as "Landsat Week’.

All city events and statuses can be found on Explore Lompoc.  In addition, the Lompoc Airport is planning to be open for public viewing of the launch and will have interactive Landsat activities. For public events, the changing COVID situation may require changes to activities and public media meetings.
